Pipe cutting, pipe beveling and pipe threading
In industries where pipes or cylindrical shapes of any metal are used or produced, it is of great importance to finish the ends of these pipes in a quick, clean, fast and safe manner. Here are three methods for semi-manufactures or finished products.
Pipe cutting
Pipe cutters are available in hot cutting and cold cutting machines. The pipe is mounted to a multi-axis machine, and a thermal torch performs the cut. Hydraulic or air-powered cutting machines are used if high temperatures are prohibited. Some industrial pipe cutting and beveling machines are equipped to both cut and bevel pipes all in one.
Pipe beveling
A beveling machine forms a beveled edge (or slope) the end of a pipe, that is not perpendicular to either surface (inside and outside). A well-prepared edge is a crucial first step in the welding process of cylindrical shapes. To make a strong joint, especially heavy wall pipes need a perfect shape before welding.
Pipe beveling machines are available from portable, handheld machines to be handled by one person and even for tasks at heights, to large machinery for thick-walled pipes.

Pipe threading
Pipe threading is mainly used on pipes for plumbing installation to supply gasses or fluids. Terms for exact fits are called “dry fit” or “dry seal” because they need to fit tightly without any additional sealants.
Also, pipe threading machines are available from portable, handheld machines to be handled by one person, to rugged machines for large pipes.
